Hi to all who reads this article. My name Dennis Pope #54 , and I was the starting forward for all of the practices and games during the inception of basketball in the 80's at Webber. It was everything you could imagine plus somethings you couldn't fathom. It was definitely a culture shock coming from a kid out of the mean streets of Baltimore. I would like to thank Mr. Album for taking the time to write our story , and I must say it was quite a ride. When we got there every team thought we we a stepping stone to a victory, and we were on about 7 or 8 home coming games that first year, " big mistake". We won every one of them by 40 or more points. When you grow up playing with the likes of Mugsy Bogues , Reggie Williams and Reggie Lewis everyday , this was nothing. My teammates ( Crow , Therman , Rodney , Art , Anthony , Craig , Joe Farmer , Joe Patterson , Carl and Gary Jeter and so many more are grateful to be part of the Webber family. We all bonded and grew together as teammates and young men. I am currently Dean of Students in a Baltimore Public School and I pay it forward to every student that comes across my desk , the power of working together for a common goal. Thank you. RIP Coach Creola

Great article And testament to who Nick Creola really was! It was an honor to be his point guard in Sheffield Pa 1968-1970 seasons and also his assistant Tom Millers undefeated 20-0 1968 season team. What I learned from him Through teamwork and dedication and discipline carried me through my whole life aspirations. His legacy remains still up here in Warren County Pennsylvania. A true coach and friend for life full of memories!!
