My first Fathers Day without my Dad who too had a deep booming voice until dementia silenced it. He was 98, trying to make 100. A word from my Daddy was all that was needed for discipline. It was like the voice of God saying “I saw that!” Followed by an intense feeling of shame. Never wanted to disappoint him. Thank you for reminding me of how powerful his voice and words were. I miss him.

Your sentiments ring true with me as well. I miss my dad so much. Wish I could take a walk with him like we use to and have one more final chat. I treasure his memory. He was a fantastic dad and a wonderful friend as well.
