I have trouble believing that this was written in good faith. You of all people should know that defund the police is about spreading the social disturbance fund around to other agencies that can handle situations that don’t require someone to shoot something or threaten to.

Will it require some changes that will come with new problems? Absolutely and nobody can deny that, but we have a rather big police violence and racism problem and that needs to be solved and nobody is suggesting we adopt Haiti’s policing system.
