Even though so many of them have no parents they are in the right environment to move forward in life. This program is good for some that seem to always be grieving. Stuck so to speak. I had to be one of those mothers that had to help 2 boys who had lost their own mother at a young age when I met my husband. His first wife died at the age of 35yrs but he was divorced from her and one boy was only 6 and the other was 11years old. Thankfully we all made it through but they were trying times. They never really accepted me as a mother for them so I never pushed that at all. They just called me Theresa Those were tough years and those kind of situations are hard for anyone today that may be contemplating. I have listened to others that have lost their parents and they have issues so having programs available is great.. Those kind of programs were not available back then. The counselors at school tried to help as much as they could. We never had the money or the means then to do what should of been done. We all moved forward and things turned out okay. Only one of them is alive today but he has never accepted me or the fact that he has a half brother my son.
