DETROIT (AP) – Mitch Albom is returning to heaven.
Or at least having some familiar characters do so.
The best-selling author’s latest book, “The Next Person You Meet in Heaven,” is out on Tuesday. It’s Albom’s first sequel and comes 15 years after the release of his first foray into fiction, “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.”
The new novel revisits the stories of Eddie the amusement park maintenance man and Annie, the young girl whose life he saves while losing his own.
As with his other books, “The Next Person You Meet in Heaven” touches on the topics of salvation and forgiveness. But Albom says it’s not about death.
