Good point about respect. You just don’t say such things to your spouse when you are out in public. I hear stuff all the time from others. I was always so glad that I never did that or discussed issues with friends about my husband and he never did either. I feel that is wrong. How often have I heard things from others complaining about things and each other..We definitely had disagreements but we never talked about it to others. True, you always have to compromise. I never had a Morrie but I had the wisdom that he talked to you about and I was with my husband at the age of 18 and very mature at my age. Communication is so important. My Mother never said anything to me about marriage but my Dad I can remember said the 3 things that can lead to problems in a marriage were money issues, lack of understanding, you have to have the same values. All good things that Morrie had to say. Marriage is an ongoing process.
