About This Episode

Have you ever faced terror in your life? True terror? Where your life or family or property was in jeopardy? On today’s episode of the Tuesday People podcast, host Mitch Albom gives listeners an update on the upheaval in Haiti and how it is affecting the children of the Have Faith Haiti Mission. Haiti is experiencing an upsurge in criminal activities and gang violence, leading to a state of heightened terror and fear. Frequent gun battles and incidents of kidnapping, gang and turf wars have left residents fleeing their homes to save their lives. As we continue to pray for the safety and well-being of the people of Haiti, let us also be grateful for the safety and security we often take for granted in our own lives.

Mitch it is so horrifying what is going on in Haiti. I know you have too much on your plate to keep abreast of all the updates in Haiti on an hourly basis. I wish that things would get better in Haiti but in my opinion I think if there is no intervention then you must see whatever you can do to get all the kids out of there and back here. Start doing what you can now. You can’t keep going on with all the security ect and the costs that go on. Those poor children and families that must live like that. Everybody must go somehow and do not wait until eventually they come to that neighborhood. Please get everyone out. I remember last Sat at SAY Play you wish that you could get all the kids there for a couple of years until things blow over . Well getting them here would be a good start and then worry if there will be a Haiti for them to go back too. See what you can do to get them here. That would be the best . I had said that before you bought that place and it is sad you have put in so much to make it a place for everyone to enjoy. I wished you could of got out of there before. So now i think you must before it is too late. You would get lots of help with the kids if they were here including myself. Be safe

Good luck with keeping Haiti safe. I still say if you can get the kids out then I would do so. It is a horrible way to have to live and horrible for all those kids. They cling to you as their hope. Prayers and prayer circles do help however never underestimate our creator and think that nothing will happen I hope nothing does.
