12 Days of Christmas Songs

Dec 14, 2010 | News | 0 comments

So I have this unusual habit of collecting Christmas music, don’t ask me why, but I have tons, from Nat King Cole to Squirrel Nut Zippers. So just for kicks, I’m doing my “12 days of Christmas Songs”, with one oddball, rarely-heard recommendation each day. I’ll be posting on Facebook and Twitter each day, so become a fan here or follow me there to get your daily recommendation

Day 1:  “Little Jack Frost” by Emilie-Claire Barlow

If you want to support this artist, click here to purchase the mp3 here.

Day 2: Try Steve Tyrell, jazz singer, doing Rudolph. Many have tried it-his voice gets it. This is Rudolph, with Clark Terry, from his album, “This Time of Year”

Day 3: There r many “silent nights” None more haunting than Sinead O’Connor’s. Shut lights + listen.  Click here to purchase

Day 4: how about a doo-wopper? “Jingle Jangle” by The Penguins? Same guys who did “Earth Angel!” Sample  |   Get it

Day 5:  my corniest – carpenters, “merry xmas darling” – yeah, I know, but tell me she can’t sing. Click here to listen.

Day 6: Head to my feeds on  and  for today’s song.
