A Time to Help Event – Children’s Clinic Clean-up

Sep 27, 2008 | News | 0 comments

Mitch Albom, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, and S.A.Y. Detroit have teamed up to create a Children’s Clinic for homeless children. Volunteers will be cleaning, patching drywall, stripping wallpaper and clearing brush outside. Depending on the number of volunteers, we will clean and patch the clinic waiting rooms, entryway, file rooms and reception area, staff room, pharmacy, and the small area to be used as a sleeping area for families brought during the nighttime. Please bring your favorite rubber gloves, wear old clothes and closed-toed shoes. Cleaning supplies will be provided, although you can bring your favorite yard tools, patching tools and cleaning implements (mops, buckets, brooms, etc.). We want to get down and dirty so the kids and their moms will have a clean and welcoming environment.

Time: 9:00AM – 12:00PM
Location:
CLINIC FOR HOMELESS CHILDREN
91 Glendale
Highland Park, MI 48203
