Project: HABITAT FOR HUMANITY DETROIT BLIGHT BLITZ!

Project Details: Habitat for Humanity Detroit Blight Blitz!  Come out and help Habitat Detroit and its community partners clean up the Morningside Commons neighborhood on Detroit’s east side.  We’ll be boarding vacant homes, removing debris, trimming hedges and trees, and mowing grass.  We will be concentrating on the streets between the two local elementary schools in our efforts to ensure children have safe passageways to school.

Date: May 19th, 2012

Time:  9:00 a.m. – Noon

Location: Clark Preparatory Academy / 15755 Bremen Street / Detroit, MI 48224

We’ll gather here for a light continental breakfast, opening remarks and instructions before heading out into the Morningside Commons neighborhood

Supplies: If possible, volunteers should bring their own work gloves.  Rakes, shovels, hedge trimmers, and trash bags are also needed, if available.

To Sign Up:  Visit atimetohelp.org to sign up on-line or contact Project Coordinator, Marci Fitch, at 313-993-4700 x 4715 or marci@atimetohelp.org
