Make Over a Shelter – February 2013 ATTH Project

A Time to Help Volunteers are needed to help give the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries’ Mens shelter on Third Streeta make-over!

When: Saturday, February 23    |   9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Project Description: Volunteers will work with DRM staff to clean the emergency shelter’s walls and floors, as well as its 80 beds, and then paint a fresh coat of paint on the walls to brighten the room for the men who seek refuge there for the night.

The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries was founded in 1909, and provides services to men, women, children and families in the form of emergency shelter, transitional and permanent housing, and health and educational programs. 

DRMM serves more than 1,700 people each day, and provides more than 1 million meals each year.
