May A Time to Help Project: Angels’ Place

When: May 31, 2014  |   9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Project: Founded in 1992, Angels’ Place is a non-profit organization that provides homes and services to adults with developmental disabilities.  Twenty residential homes are located in Wayne, Oakland and Macomb County.  A non-residential program also provides respite and community living support services for persons with these challenges.

Volunteers will help stain an outside deck and railing spindles of the ramp walkway, perform landscaping activities; e.g. mulching, raking/weeding, trim/remove shrubbery, create flower garden, clean outdoor furniture, and create and paint canvas backdrop murals.

Prepare: Please bring gloves, garden tools; e.g., gardening trowels, pruning shears, rakes, scoop shovels, digging shovels and notify event coordinators (time.to.help.email@gmail.com or 313-309-5800) if you cannot bring or do not own such supplies.
